Song Ci is an important part of ancient Chinese literature, known alongside Tang poetry as the "twin peaks". Ci originated in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Song Dynasty, featuring masters like Su Shi, Xin Qiji, and Li Qingzhao.
一寸柔肠,如丝千结,不奈愁如铁。
眼也生应哭破。
好思量。 转凄惶。 捱到黄昏愈断肠。
云雨阳台梦不成。
银缸挑尽,纱窗未晓,独拥寒衾一半。
魄散魂飞。
酒醒后、一枕清风,梦断处、半窗残月。
