Song Ci is an important part of ancient Chinese literature, known alongside Tang poetry as the "twin peaks". Ci originated in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Song Dynasty, featuring masters like Su Shi, Xin Qiji, and Li Qingzhao.
倚天楼殿,升平风月,彩仗春移。 鸾丝凤竹,长生调里,迎得翠舆归。 雕鞍游罢,何处还有心期。 浓熏翠被,深停画烛,人约月西时。
