Song Ci is an important part of ancient Chinese literature, known alongside Tang poetry as the "twin peaks". Ci originated in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Song Dynasty, featuring masters like Su Shi, Xin Qiji, and Li Qingzhao.
柳烟霁色方春。 花露逼金茎。 秋千院落,海棠渐老,才过清明。 嫩玉腕托香脂脸,相傅粉、更与谁情。 秋波绽处,相思泪迸,天阻深诚。
湘东最是得春先。 和气暖如绵。 清明过了,残花巷陌,犹见秋千。 对景感时情绪乱,这密意、翠羽空传。 风前月下,花时永昼,洒泪何言。
